Today we’re getting personal on SITNB. Let’s travel back to May 12 when my best friend Nicole got engaged to the man of her dreams. I still can’t put into words how happy I am for the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. White. I do however, need to put my thoughts together before October 18 because I will be standing by her side as maid of honor on her big day.
Growing up without siblings (especially a sister), really allowed me to cherish my friendships more than anything in the world. Nicole and I were lucky to meet in college our freshmen year and have been best friends ever since. Last weekend, a group of 15+ girls celebrated the future bride to be in style. Here’s a sneak peek into Nicole’s last bash.
We started the bachelorette party activities at my favorite Lincoln Park finishing salon, Goldplaited. We got our hair + makeup done and were able to mingle throughout the salon with mimosas in hand. Thank you to owners, Mal & Co for making the experience top notch as always.
J. Parker inside Hotel Lincoln was our next stop to take in the views and enjoy the beautiful weekend weather. With amazing views of the lake and refreshing cocktails, our night was set up to be a success.
Towards the end of the afternoon and into the evening we played your typical bachelorette games and ate lots (I mean tons) of appetizers. The best part? All the girls chipped in to help me make Nicole an awesome Shutterfly scrapbook with personalized letters from each of us (highly recommended).
We finished the night with a delicious family style dinner at Quartino and then a rowdy night of celebrations at Underground Chicago. I’m so happy that we could celebrate Nicole in the best way possible, all while she was surrounded by people who love her the most!
Thank you for following along my first time hosting a bachelorette party!
So now which of my friends is next?
