The Interview
SITNB: What’s your favorite beauty product of all time?
Christina: Bare Minerals Foundation. It is so light and doesn’t feel like you are wearing anything at all! Plus, it has SPF 15 so my face is always protected.
SITNB: If you had to pick three key beauty items what would they be?
Christina: Bronzer, Mascara, and Chapstick.  Sometimes, those are all you need.
SITNB: Who is your beauty inspiration?
Christina: Lauren Conrad, I love her beauty blog, “The Beauty Department”! She has amazing tips and how-tos!
SITNB: What was your biggest beauty no-no (come on, we all have had them)?
Christina: Wearing too much of it.  I have smaller eyes and used to think piling on the makeup would help make them look bigger… wrong.  I’ve found I like myself much better without a lot of makeup on.  It’s a revalation that comes with age.
SITNB:  Guys want to know: How much do you really spend on makeup?
Christina: I spend the big bucks on anything powder (bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, foundation) as I find they tend to work the best for me.  I remember reading in a beauty magazine years ago that you DON’T need to spend your money on eyeliner and mascara.  The drugstore ones work just as well (if not better)!  Mascara ends up drying out after a month or two anyways, regardless of what you spend on it. (AMEN).
SITNB: When did you first start wearing makeup?
Christina: Middle school. Glitter and white eyeliner were all the rage!
SITNB: What has been your biggest beauty splurge?
Christina: The St. Tropez self tanning line.  It’s hands down the best self tanner out there!
SITNB: Do you have a product that changed your life?
Christina: Cetaphil face wash.  I’ve been using it for years and swear by it!
